Q Display Float - Available now!

The long wait is over: the future of boating is available now!

Bringing freedom back to the console design

For years, boat console design has been a compromise, especially for smaller vessels. Boat builders have needed to choose a display first, then design the console around it - constrained by screen sizes, cutout dimensions, and fixed installation requirements. The display dictated the design, not the other way around.

Although surface-mounted displays will continue to be the number one choice for larger vessels due to their sleek look and impressive size options, the limitations to integrate good-looking and good-sized displays for smaller boats have been a real burden. Especially for RIB-, pontoon-, and day boats, which might have had more condensed consoles and a limited space for the display. In worst cases, the size limitations have resulted in the desired display not fitting the console at all.

The Q Display Float revolutionizes that completely!

With its minimal installation footprint and modern floating design, the float-mounted Q Display can be fitted into consoles that would previously have been impossible to work with. Boat manufacturers now have the freedom to design the console as they see fit, and simply mount the display where it makes sense, not where a large enough flat surface is available for the display.

Different sizes for all needs

The float-mounted Q Display comes in three sizes: 10”, 12” Wide, and 15” Wide. All sizes come with robust titanium-colored aluminium housing and are designed to perform even in the roughest weather.

The easiest installation on the market

Imagine installing an up to 15” display without big cutouts in the boat console. With the floating Q Display’s minimal installation footprint, the display requires only 180 × 70 mm (7 × 2,75 inch) flat surface to fit any of the displays to the console.

Additionally, the installation is made extremely easy: no big cutouts in the panels, nor even a single square hole. The Q Float Display can be installed with just a few screws and a small round hole to run the Q CoreLink cable through.

Simple, easy, and extremely convenient.

One installation bracket to fit them all

Another major benefit for boat manufacturers and end-users as well is that all the Q Display Float screens share the same sleek installation bracket and footprint. Therefore, the screen size decisions no longer need to be locked in at the factory, but can be left open when building the boat, until the moment of sale. Then it is up to the customer to decide the screen size they prefer, or easily upgrade to a bigger size later if their needs change.

No console redesigns, no extra tooling - just flexibility to choose and upgrade to the screen as one sees the best.

Unique two-piece design

Unlike any other display before, the Q Display Float features a unique two-piece design: the stunning floating display and a separate Q Core Unit. The two-piece design allows the display and the core to be installed meters apart using a single Q CoreLink cable. This gives full freedom to place the Core Unit away from space-limited consoles, in a location where it naturally fits, or closer to the engine and connected accessories.

The most intuitive and easy-to-use

All Q Displays include the same legendary features that users across the markets have come to know and love: intuitive user interface, easy navigation, 24/7 connectivity with one-of-a-kind Q Guard security system, extensive entertainment options with built-in audio amplifier, integrated 4G modem for web browsing or even searching nearby places with Google maps, possibility to remotely control selected appliances, and much more - all in one elegant, bright and sleek touchscreen.
