Your privacy is important to us. Our privacy notice is designed to increase the transparency of our data processing processes in a readable form. Read each section below to understand how we collect, use, share and protect your information.

The purpose of this privacy notice is to bring to the attention of our customers the policy regarding the processing of personal data in conjunction with the various services, products, apps, websites, promotion and marketing campaigns, sponsored social media or similar sites we offer or those which are provided on our behalf.

What personal data does Nextfour collect?

Usually, we collect personal data directly from you or obtain such through your use of Q Experience products or services. Sometimes we may also need additional information to keep the data up to date or to ensure the accuracy of the information we receive.

The personal data we collect can be broken down as follows:

· Name

· Email

· Password

· Geographical location

· Language

· Location data saved in the automatic logbook

· Analytics

· Data collected about or relating to your boat

· Data collected about or relating to the Q Experience product you are using

· Purchase history

Why do we need your personal data, and what do we use it for?

We use your personal data to meet the product’s operational requirements and our statutory obligations, and to provide quality service. We also use your personal data to deliver our products and services, and to improve the development of such.

Nextfour has a legitimate interest in processing personal data in customer communications and in conjunction with marketing, product and customer analyses. We can thereby improve our product

portfolio and optimise the services provided to customers. Nextfour ensures the processing of personal data does not cause any serious harm to the rights or freedoms of the customer.

We also send our existing customers some customer communications (e.g., information about changes to the service, market reviews, newsletters and feedback surveys).

How does Nextfour protect personal data, and what are the risks associated with the processing of such?

We use the necessary technical and administrative methods of data security that are appropriate and in compliance with the best practices. These include, for instance, the use of firewalls, strong encryption technologies and secure IT areas, access control of the premises, the limited granting of access rights, the instruction and training of personnel involved in the processing of personal data and the careful selection of subcontractors. Our subcontractors are committed to compliance with Nextfour data protection principles and guidelines in addition to the applicable legislation.

The processing of personal data is permitted for work-based reasons only. Access rights to systems containing personal data are personal, and we monitor the use of these rights. Nextfour employees who process personal data are bound by a separate duty of secrecy in addition to the statutory confidentiality agreement. Personal data no longer needed is deleted in a data secure manner.

Despite careful protection and appropriate security, the processing of information always poses a risk. If, despite our efforts, there is a security breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your privacy or other rights, we will contact you as soon as possible.

If we become aware of a security breach regarding personal data and it poses a risk to the rights or freedoms of a natural person, we will notify the Data Protection Ombudsman about the breach without undue delay.

We also recommend you keep the data security of your devices and connections up to date.

How long will your personal data be retained?

We will retain your information for as long as you use our product, as long as necessary for its intended purpose, and as long as required by the laws and regulations on data retainment.

To whom may Nextfour disclose personal data?

Personal data may be disclosed outside Nextfour whenever permitted or required by law.

Based on a customer consent or agreement, we also disclose information to our partners that are associated with the products or services selected by customers.

We may share your information, for example, when processing fees, fulfilling an order, installing a product or providing customer service, installation services, marketing services, maintenance or repair services or others similar to these.

All payments made in the Q Experience app are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your personal data according to their privacy policy https://stripe.com/en-fi/privacy.

Your data protection rights relating to the processing of personal data

We offer you the opportunity to be informed about the data we collect, use and share. You have the right to rectify any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold related to you.

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data to the extent that the processing of your personal data is based on consent. If you request the deletion of your information or withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data, we will delete the information from our systems unless there is some other legal basis for processing it or we have a statutory obligation to retain it. In any event, we will delete your personal data after the company-specified or statutory retention period ends.

To the extent that the processing of your personal data is based on consent or agreement, you have the right to obtain from us the personal data you provided in a structured and commonly used format; you also have the right to have the information transferred to another data controller.

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data to the extent that the processing is based on the fulfilment of the legitimate interests of Nextfour or a third party.

You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.

If you consider that the processing of your personal data conflicts with the existing legislation, you can lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Ombudsman.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer or some other device whenever you visit the Nextfour website. In this privacy statement, our reference to cookies also includes other similar technologies and tools that collect and store information on your browser and in some cases transfer such information to third parties as cookies do.

The Nextfour website and services use cookies to maintain user sessions and remember their preferences as they move from one page to another. Cookies also allow us to identify visitors to our site and, for example, to compile statistics about them. We also use cookies to target marketing. Nextfour website and services use session-specific and permanent cookies set by Nextfour and third parties.
